The final Health cluster work programme for 20 will be published within the coming months and may include interesting opportunities for those consortia that have not been successful this time, but wishing to adapt and resubmit their Horizon 2020 proposals under one of the upcoming Horizon Europe Health calls. The successor programme called “ Horizon Europe”, the 9 th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation will have a dedicated cluster for Health with a particular focus on digital health, infectious diseases and healthy environment.

However, some of these budgets might be increased slightly and will be known once the projects, which have been selected for funding, are notified. The table below summarises the call statistics and the chances of success based on the call budgets published on the EU`s Funding & Tenders portal. Notably the results of the SC1-BHC-06-2020 call on digital diagnostics are eagerly awaited by many applicants with only three of the 158 submissions expected to be funded. Most remaining calls are from the sub-category “Better Health and care (BHC)”.Ī total of 461 proposals were submitted before the calls` deadline on 4 June 2020.
